How to Create a Custom Rubber Stamp

When customizing a rubber stamp on www.rubberstamps.net , there are many personalization options. Depending on the type of stamp selected, there may be different case and/or ink colors available.

Custom text can be entered in any of the fields. To create a blank line, enter a single space (or multiple spaces - it does not matter) on that line. Select a font, font size, justification and style. Font sizes are equivalent to those found in Microsoft Word. Text justification can be L (left-aligned), C (centered) or R (right-aligned). Text style can be bolded , italicized and/or underlined .

A side-by-side view of all available fonts:

In this example, Exotic 350 is selected, customized, and the Preview / Update button is clicked.

In this case, there is a lot of text entered and the text is very close to the gray measurement box.   An error message pops up at the top of the screen.

As long as none of the text is touching or overlapping the gray measurement box, the amount of text on the stamp is acceptable.

Note how the bottom line appears different, despite being in the same font, size and style as the other lines.   Because too much text has been entered on the bottom line, it has automatically been horizontally condensed (squished together).   Unless the font size is decreased or text is removed, this is how this stamp will engrave.

Uploading Graphics for a Custom Rubber Stamp

When customizing a wood-mounted, self-inking or pre-inked rubber stamp, a .jpg or .gif file may be uploaded.   This file must adhere to the terms and conditions at https://www.rubberstamps.net/terms.aspx .

-           To upload a file, click on the Browse button

      -       Navigate to the file on your computers hard drive

      -           We will select the graphic with a file name of kitten

-           This graphic meets the uploading constraints specified in the box.   This file is in a .jpg or .gif format, is less than 100 kb, and is a black-and-white graphic

-           Double-click the file or select the file and click the Open button to select the preferred file.   This will close the Choose File browser and resume the customization session.

We would like the kitten.gif graphic to stay of the left side of the stamp, so we will leave the Select Image Location to Left.   Images can be also placed on the right, top, bottom, or fill the entire stamp.

To preview our stamp, the Preview / Update button will be clicked.

This is what the stamp will look like if no further customization is done:

The grey outline indicates the borders/limitations of the stamp size. We can either add this item to our cart or continue customizing the text.

We continue to customize the text on this stamp, updating the second line to be in a Comic Sans font. After clicking the Preview / Update button, we can see the changes.

Once a stamp has been previewed or updated, it can be added to the shopping cart.
