What is the difference between the die, the plate and the base handle?

The die (with its plate) is the engraved part that carries your text or logo and creates the raised impression. The base handle is the press body you squeeze. If your details changed, a new die & plate are needed. If the handle itself broke but your design is still fine, you only need a base handle.

Will a replacement die fit my existing embosser?

Replacement dies and plates are made to fit RubberStamps.net embosser bodies. Match three things: size (1.5" round, 2" round, or 1" x 2"), orientation (bottom, top, left, or right), and that your embosser was made by RubberStamps.net. If you are unsure, contact us before ordering and we will help you confirm.

How do I know which size and orientation I have?

Measure the raised impression with a ruler to get the size. To find orientation, look at where the impression sits relative to the edge of the paper as you emboss: bottom is most common for envelope flaps and certificates, top for letterheads, and left or right for bound book pages.
